FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

To help you understand more about our service here at Chiltern Bathrooms and what to expect when you renovate your bathroom, wetroom, ensuite or cloakroom, here’s some further information which you might find useful.

1. How long will the installation take?

This can, of course, vary from job to job depending on the size of the room and the complexity of the fitting. In general, an average bathroom can take between 3-4 weeks to complete from start to finish. Cloakrooms can take less time.

2. Will I be without water for long?

We will endeavour to let you know if we need to turn off the water supply for any reason. We will keep this time to a minimum to minimise disruption.

3. Will I have access to a toilet?

If we are working on your only toilet, we’ll aim to ensure you have a functioning toilet at the end of each day.

4. Will I have heating?

If you are having radiators fitted or replaced as part of the work, we might have to turn off your heating whilst these are being fitted. Again, we’ll try to keep the downtime to a minimum.

5. How dirty and dusty will my home get?

We will try our best to minimise the dirt and dust and prevent it being spread throughout the rest of the home by using dust sheets, sealing doorways etc. We clean and tidy the workspace at the end of each day.

6. What happens to the rubbish?

We will take the rubbish away during and at the end of the installation project, so you don’t need to worry about this. Depending on the scope of the work, you might need to provide space for a skip (e.g. a driveway).

7. Can I add to the work?

We’re happy to undertake additional work but any changes to the initial quote will needed to be charged for in addition to the price agreed.

8. Do you fit products that you don’t supply?

In most cases, we prefer to only fit products that we have supplied. This means that should there be any faults or parts missing whilst installation is underway, we can deal with this quickly to resolve things and minimises any disruption to the job. If you are purchasing the item which is later found to be damaged or faulty it would be your responsibility to arrange replacements. Please note, in this situation you might also be required to cover additional fitting costs.

9. References

For your peace of mind, we are very happy to provide references from previous customers. References are available upon request.

10. How can I pay?

We accept payment by cash, bank transfer, debit card and credit card (except American Express).

11. What are the payment terms?
